On Saturday, the San Jose Sharks faced the Phoenix Coyotes who are playing strong hockey and were currently on a three game winning streak. Well, the Coyotes quality of play was evident very early in the game. It was only 3:13 into the game when Phoenix found itself on top with a two goal lead. Unfortunately for Coyotes fans, that left Team Teal 56:47 to come back...which it did.

After watching the San Jose Sharks beat the Dallas Stars, I almost find it hard to believe that this team from Texas was the one responsible for knocking us out of the playoffs last year. I understand that Dallas has a number of injuries, but man...Team Teal made them look pretty bad. What a difference an offseason makes...

With Evgeni Nabokov back in net the first time in the last 20 days, the San Jose Sharks came out flying against the Chicago Blackhawks. Unfortunately, just like the last time these two teams played, Team Teal found themselves in a hole needing to come from behind. Fortunately, San Jose's stars found a way to get it done in overtime.

The Worcester Sharks of the AHL have announced the signing of former NHLer Claude Lemieux. According to General Manager Wayne Thomas, Lemieux was the one that approached the organization. Apparently, the 20 year NHL veteran and Stanley Cup Champion is looking to play hockey again as he has missed the game. XM Radio's Home Ice reports that he just wants to play and doesn't necessarily want to get back to the NHL. However, I bet it's not a coincidence that Claude decided to call the AHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks who are currently the best team in the NHL.

In its debut, Black Armor proved to be a "winning jersey". Some fans may recall that the previous black third jersey was a bit of a jinx...it looked good, but couldn't garner many wins. Fortunately, the Sharks' new sweater appears to be a keeper.

Well, it sounds like San Jose Sharks fans can relax a little bit now that Evgeni Nabokov has returned to practice. It doesn't sound like Number 20 is completely out of the woods in regards to his "lower body injury", but at the very least, Nabby's suiting up...which is obviously a good thing.

Well, there have been a number of blog posts out there claiming that they know what the San Jose Sharks' Third Jersey looks like. Some were obviously fake, while others seemed plausible. However, the blog post from icethetics.info seems very legit. We're only three days away from the official release, this site is all about hockey jerseys, and the pic is of an actual jersey and not just some mock-up. To see the photos, continue reading this post.

On Monday night, the San Jose Sharks got even with the Nashville Predators by defeating them at home, 4 - 1. However, Team Teal didn't just beat them on the scoreboard, they also beat them on the ice. Thanks to four fighting majors, four goals, and solid goaltending, the Sharks skated away with two points.

On Sunday, the San Jose Sharks loss the lead three times to the Chicago Blackhawks. Fortunately, Team Teal was able to hold on to the final lead of the game to take the two points. Though Brian Boucher let in a couple of questionable goals, San Jose's high-powered offense found the back of the net just enough times to pull the Sharks goalie out of the fire.

Well, the San Jose Sharks ended their mini-losing streak Thursday night with a convincing win over the Calgary Flames. Sticking to their plan, Team Teal again launched a ton of rubber at the opposing goalie...46 shots in total. Fortunately, unlike the game against the Predators, San Jose was able to convert on six of those chances.
November 11, 2008
Well, the San Jose Sharks were bound to lose at home sooner or later, but it seems to sting a bit more when Team Teal puts 57 shots on net and only scores three goals. Granted, San Jose was cheated a goal early in the game, but there were a lot of other reasons why the Sharks ended up on the losing end of this one.
November 9, 2008
Since the game wasn't televised on Comcast, I was forced to listen to the game on the XM radio. Usually, I don't have a problem with that...except tonight, I had to listen to the Phoenix Coyotes feed. What's worse is that they kept referring to the Sharks as the "best team in the NHL"...talk about a jinx.

On a night when the San Jose Sharks were looking to keep their home record spotless against a division foe, Dallas Stars goalie Marty Turco decided to help the cause with 30 seconds left in the game. Thanks Marty!

After losing the night before in Anaheim, the St. Louis Blues showed a surprising amount of energy against the San Jose Sharks. Not only did the Blues take the early lead in the game, but they also battled to grab the lead two more times after the Sharks tied things up. Fortunately, Team Teal had Ryane Clowe running hot as they squeaked out a win in the shootout.
November 5, 2008
Last night, the Minnesota Wild came out skating hard and were able to put one past Evgeni Nabokov within the first five minutes of the game. Fortunately, Team Teal was able to manufacture three unanswered goals en route to their 5th consecutive win.
November 2, 2008
Well, it's a new month, but the San Jose Sharks haven't changed their ways...and that's a good thing. In Colorado for a one game road trip, Team Teal brought the fire power and defeated the Avalanche by a score of 5 - 3.
