Sharks lose two and win one
I've been on vacation for a few days and during that time, San Jose has continued its roller coaster ride of a season. Though I didn't have a chance to blog about it, I did keep track of Team Teal's performance and I'm still concerned.

NHL Rule 3.1 - Players' Benches
Having been a long time hockey fan, I feel that I know almost every aspect of the game. However, the other day, someone asked me a question regarding the player benches and I did not have the complete answer. As a result, I decided to look it up and realized that there are some very specific things about the game that I did not know. Consequently, from time to time, I will be sharing them with you.

Sharks 4, Flames 1
On Monday night, San Jose may have played its strongest game since the season began nearly a month ago. Of course, I didn't get to see it as it was a radio-only game. Weaksauce. Fortunately, I was able to see highlights of all four goals on NHL TV.

Sharks 3, Predators 0
Though the San Jose Sharks looked sloppy, I will definitely take the win. It took three tries, but Team Teal found a way to win at home. Unfortunately for Nashville, it was at their expense. I've got to believe that if Predators' fans had to pick a team to hate, it would be the Sharks.

Sharks 2, Red Wings 4
A lot has been said about last night's game against the Detroit Red Wings being just another game. An opportunity to see how the San Jose Sharks measure up against one of the top teams in the Western Conference. Unfortunately, Team Teal still isn't good enough. In fact, Thursday's game reminded me of the playoff series between these two teams...in a bad way.

Sharks 4, Canucks 2
The San Jose Sharks finally got a number of wingers on the scoresheet en route to defeating the Vancouver Canucks for the second time this year. Thanks to the powerplay, goaltending, and a Douglas Murray fight, Team Teal finally put together some goals. If only we could see the Canucks 74 more times this year.

Sharks 1, Bruins 2
On Saturday night, the San Jose Sharks put the pressure on Boston, but luck was not on their side. Four pucks off the pipe and one off the referee led to a last second loss to the Bruins. Simply frustrating.

Sharks 2, Blackhawks 1
For the second game in a row, one Sharks player accounted for all of the team's goals. Last game, it was Ryane Clowe. This time around, Milan Michalek did the damage. Fortunately, the game against Chicago ended up with Team Teal walking away two points richer.

Marcel releases his 2nd post
Great. The last thing I need is another blog about the San Jose Sharks to serve as competition. In the blogosphere, there are only so many eyeballs out there that are willing to read your stuff, and now I have to compete with a blog written by an actual player?! Just not fair.

Colorado whips San Jose, 6 - 2
For a team that is favored to win the Stanley Cup this year, the San Jose Sharks sure looked like crap yesterday. I understand that the season just started, and that the Sharks were handed a tough schedule up front, but their performance Sunday afternoon was just plain bad.

Murray, Roenick, & Nabokov shine in Sharks' first win
The San Jose Sharks defeated the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night by a final score of 3 to 1. Thanks to the efforts of Douglas Murray, Jeremy Roenick, and Evgeni Nabokov, Team Teal is now in first place within the Pacific Division. I know, it's too early to think about standings, but gaining 3 out of a possible 4 points on the road is a very good start.

Jumbo Joe steals a point
Well, after watching last night's game, all I can say is thank goodness we got a point. On paper, the San Jose Sharks should have killed the Edmonton Oilers. Unfortunately for the Sharks, Edmonton seems to have our number for some reason.
