Guerin Still Scoreless
Zero points in last four contests
Since the trade, Bill Guerin has played in four games with the San Jose Sharks. While adding experience and even more depth to the lineup, he has consistently played hard each and every night. Unfortunately, averaging just over two shots a game, Guerin still has yet to find the back of the net.
Coach Ron Wilson has paired up the new Sharks winger with a number of different players, but no combination has showed any real chemistry. From the games I've watched, Guerin has seemed a bit lost out there and that can be expected. The Sharks are a quick team that focuses on puck possession, while the Blues were more of a dump and chase squad. Against the Wild and Stars, Guerin showed an eagerness to pass rather than shoot and when he did shoot, it was a low percentage chance. However, I'm not too worried.
Guerin is a fast and skilled player who should match well with any two players on Team Teal. If he simply plays his game and gets comfortable with his linemates, the points will come. He is too good of a player to be held off of the official scoresheet for much longer.
